Vertical Sciences, Inc., is a multidisciplinary data acquisition consultancy serving a diverse clientele including municipal, industry, and private enterprises in our target service sectors. We pride ourselves in providing our clients with high-quality, timely, and cost effective data acquisition services that always meet or exceed their requirements and expectations.

Big LagoonWe were established by Jim Bianchin, C.E.G., and Dennis Ryan, P.E. in 2015.  Jim is an engineering geologist licensed in numerous states and having over 33 years of experience in the geotechnical, geohazards, and environmental disciplines.  Dennis is a licensed professional civil engineer having over 35 years of experience in municipal, land development, transportation, and construction management fields.  Jim has also been involved in agricultural operations that include avocados, cut flowers, and row crops.  Dennis has been involved with range management, row crops, mushrooms, and cattle operations. This unique combination of experience allows Vertical Sciences, Inc., to understand our client’s needs and provide those data most meaningful to their operations.

Vertical Sciences, Inc., received two of the earliest FAA exemptions to operate small (less than 55 pound) UAS in US National Airspace.  Our FAA Exemption Numbers are: 11491 & 11544. 

In addition, Vertical Sciences, Inc., was issued Certificates of Waiver or Authorization (COA) from the FAA for our operations.  Those COA numbers are: FAA-2015-0286-333E & FAA-2015-0402-333E.
